With that said, we have some information regarding new updates for Street Fighter X Tekken coming up soon, so we’ll keep you posted! This is the most content we’ve ever packed into a Street Fighter game, so we hope that there are plenty of other modes and features to keep everyone busy for a long time. This mode is supported in the PlayStation 3 version, however, since we tackled that earlier and found the architecture of their system to be more conducive to implementing it. Throughout the development process, there are times when new features are added (and we added a lot of them!) and there are also times where we have to make tough decisions regarding things to cut. Unfortunately, due to time and resource issues, we weren’t able to get that feature into the Xbox 360 version and we apologize to those players who were looking forward to it. Secondly, we’ve been asked by some players of the Xbox 360 version about the 4-player co-op mode and why it doesn’t work when two players team up (locally) and attempt to play online. We are extremely proud of the game… it was a huge undertaking for us all and it makes us happy to know that so many players are enjoying our game. Hello Street Fighter X Tekken players, this is Ayano again.įirst of all, we want to thank our fans for all of the support and positive comments we’ve received since Street Fighter X Tekken was released last week.
Capcom worked on the PS3 version much earlier which is why the feature was seen on that version only. The main reason given was due to time and resource issues. More specifically, they give us the reason why 2 player co-op online is not available on the Xbox 360 version of the game.
Believe me, I have the money to purchase the DLC, but I will not be further fattening the pockets of a money hungry corporation that used to make awesome games but now is taking the easy road.Īll that being said, Street Fighter X Tekken is a decent fighting game that kept me entertained for the first couple of days, but it fell far short from its intended target.Capcom has announced on its official blog an update on Street Fighter X Tekken.
But what REALLY gets me is most of the DLC is already located on the disc of the game, so when you buy the DLC from Capcom all you are buying is basically an unlock code to unlock that DLC on the disc that you already purchased. Thats what makes good replay value, and what makes me want to come back and play the game over and over. What really irks me about this game, and many other Capcom games is the fact that they love taking advantage of DLC, even though most of the DLC they offer are things that should be unlocked in the game after you beat it so many times or unlock this trophy, etcetera. This makes the game lose replay value fast in arcade mode. There are only 10 levels to fight in, only 2 of those are somewhat memorable. Its more like the lame story mode on MVC3, where they could have made it epic but instead chose the easier route. The first thing that rubs me the wrong way however is the lame mediocre story, nothing like previous Tekken games. The tag team system feels somewhat like Mortal Kombat, and I like the fact that when one character KOs the round is over. The controls are pretty fluid, and the gem system is a nice added touch to spicen the game up.
The character line up and graphics are pretty good, especially on PS3 because you get 4 exclusive characters. Kind of reminds me of drinking a lukewarm beer, it gets the job done, but it would have been so much better if it was cold. A dream collaboration between the two biggest fighting game franchises is now a reality A deluge of highly demanded characters join the fray in this tag team-based game Street Fighter fans, Tekken fans and of course. I love Street Fighter and I love Tekken but this game is just alright. The Games on Demand version supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Korean. Fixes black screens, crashes, removes incorrect versions of Games for Windows LIve (GFWL) and installs the correct dependencies to play online. I will start of by saying I was super hyped for this game to come out. The 4 player tag mode is a throwback to the original Tekken Tag Tournament.
